Amazing first View on Nicola Lake
One word describing it all: Amazing! We went to a viewpoint on top of the hill from where you can watch over Nicola Lake. The lake has an average depth of 24 metres and is approximately 22 kilometres in length.
It was the first time I saw a lake in Canada and now I´m even more excited to go to Banff Nationalpark and see the lakes there, especially Lake Louise. You can´t imagine the dimension of nature here. It´s gorgeous. If you have a walk through the fabulous wilderness you feel so inconsequential. The wood is so impressive that you get crushed by its enormous size. Looking over Nicola Lake I felt like I´m on top of the world. Enjoying the sun and the fresh air it´s the best place to calm down and have a break. But be careful, we saw a snake, but didn´t know what kind of snake it was. Furthermore, we saw 3 deers, unfortunalety no bears. But we´re gonna watching bears tomorrow, if we find some. The best time for watching bears is in the evening, when the sun goes down. You shouldn´t be alone and not by foot because they could be aggressive. But there is a difference between the black bears and the Grizzlie´s, the Grizzilie´s are more aggressive than the bears here.
