We lost our hearts in Tofino

Tofino is definitely on my top 10 list. It was the first and best roadtrip in my life. So much fun. We laughed the whole time and we really enjoyed our stay in the HI – Whalers on the point guesthouse http://tofinohostel.com.
It was the best hostel I´ve been staying at. The service was great, the rooms were amazing, the kitchen was clean and we had a sauna which topped everyhting. Besides, the view from the livingroom is awesome. I really recommend this hostel to everybody who wants to visit Tofino. It is worth it. The price-performance-ratio is really good.

The first day we did whalewatching. We drove out to sea with a zodiac, that was the best decision ever. It was so much fun. The wetsuits kept us warm and dry. We even saw two whales. Actually you don´t see much of the whales, only their backs and when they´re breathing because then you see the water they squirt out like a fountain. Nevertheless it was worth it. We saw so many other kind of animals and the zodiactrip was just funny.

The second day was a chill-day. First, we went to a little cute market in Tofino. After that we ate the best icecream in Vancouverisland and at last we went to the longbeach to watch the sunset.

The third day was more exciting again. We hiked to a crashed plane. It was a military aircraft that crashed shortly after take-off into the mountain in 1945. Since then it is located in the mountain and is accessible via a very muddy path. As we reached the plane it was a really mystic atmosphere.

The penultimate day we took our first surfing lesson. It was so much fun so that i will do it again for sure. But on the other hand it was really exhausting, so the next day i had many bruises on my body. We did the surfing lesson at westsidesurf.

And again I have met very nice people with whom I got along very well. I will miss them and also Tofino very much.
