Spooky, stunningly beautiful, impressive
On June 6, Riley showed me the Othello tunnels. We drove about 1 hour by car. Already on the way you noticed, how the environment changes. It got colder and wetter. I saw the snow lying on the big mountains. It was just amazing. We walked a bit until we came to the tunnels. It was so impressive. The torrential river that flowed through the mountains made it not so quiet as the lake. Still, it was the silence of nature, because you heard nothing but the river. Overwhelming. Walking through the dark tunnels made me feel drunk, because I saw nothing except the bright light at the end of the tunnel. After all the different impressions, take a quick break at the river and let your thoughts run free. Come down and think about all the stuff in life. Nature gives you the chance and I had the gentle feeling of security and strength.
It´s unbelievble how fast time passes.
My stay in Merrit is almost over, but it seems to me that I arrived yesterday.
