The best time of my life
Where do I start? The best with my arrival, where I already collected indescribable impressions. As we drove through the National Park, my joy and excitement was almost unstoppable. These impressions are so stunning. The huge mountains with snow on the top, the vast forests, the rivers and incredible blue lakes. It’s all amazingly gigantic. Although my bus tour to Lake Louise and Lake Moraine was influenced by bad weather, to be honest, that does not affect the perfectly painted image of the lake at all. Indescribable feeling when you´re standing on the top and your eyes wander over the lakes. Nature is just captivating.
At breakfast I actually met a German girl, who also comes from the Hunsrück. That was so funny. How small the world is. Saturday afternoon started the party. I met nice guys from the whole world. Some guys were from Canada, some from USA, Ireland, Brazil, Netherlands, Switzerland, Poland etc…
It was just super cool. Our group started with 5 people. At the end we were about 20 people, who were in the courtyard of the hostel and were already well drunk, before we went to the pub. We all got along great and were a cool group. In the first pub, a cowboy musician played country music and it was so good. We danced all night and I must honestly say I had the fun of my life. My absolute favorite song of the evening was „Wagon Wheel“. It was just amazing. I will never forget this evening. If I think about it now, I wish I could turn back time and relive this weekend. The people I’ve met there, I miss them all already. We also had a great Sunday. We visited Johnston Canyon. Thank God it did not rain, even though it was pretty cold and windy. The cool thing about traveling is that you really meet so many cool people from around the world and make new friends. With the one you keep in touch and maybe you see them again. Others are not, but there is still the memory of the great time together. That’s important, too. That you collect memories and keep them forever, because these make you happy. I enjoyed it so much and I’m so thankful for everything. I just have to say that I fell in love with Canada. The music, the people, the culture and above all the landscape. I really would not hesitate to imigrate to Canada. I am so happy here and at the same time so sad that time goes by so fast. I wish I could stop it. I know that I will return to Germany in any case, but I also know that I will definitely come back again.
