Vancouver city, Vancouver north etc…
I’ve never seen such a big city that has so many different facets. On the one hand you feel like in Frankfurt. All these skyscrapers with their glass facades. When I walk through the streets as a little person, they impress me a lot. On the other side you are also right on the sea. Enjoying the sunshine on the beach, you feel like you’re on holiday in southern Europe. Then you have the view to the horizon on the gigantic mountains, on the tops of which still lies the snow. If you go for a walk, you notice the extreme contrast between city and green. I’ve never been to a city that is so green. Only 20 minutes, then you are in the middle of the forest, Stanleypark. Or you go to Capilano suspension bridge, where you feel like you’re in the middle of the rainforest. I have experienced all these things in the last few days. Although the Capilano suspension bridge was crowded with tourists, you could still cross the bridges. At this point I have to say that the suspension bridge in Geierlay is more impressive. My tour to Grouse Mountain was much worth seeing. Take the gondola up the hill, then hike a bit and you are on top of the mountain. The view of Vancouver is stunning. Finally, I can say that I took a selfie with a real Canadian animal, because I saw 2 Grizzlies. The birdshow was also very interesting. After meeting a canadian and a french woman and eating dinner together, I take the Seabus back to the hostel. The sunset was so amazing. The skyline shimmered in the red light of the sun. Beautiful.
The other evening, Carmen and I had a picnic on sunset beach to watch the sunset. We stayed relaxed at the water until 11pm and watched the horizon as it got darker and darker.
Yesterday we went to deep cove. It´s like a little city on the northern part of Vncouver. It was so hot , so we decided to stay at the beach the whole day. Actually we wanted to hike for 40 minutes on the top of a rock, but that would have been too exhausting. It was really nice there, such an lovely small place but could have to do with the fact that it is not a tourist place.
When we wanted to go back, we arrived 6 minutes too late. Our bus was already gone. That sucks! But we had luck that the next bus went in the same direction, so we only had to change once.
